Austin City Limits Music Festival opens for weekend two

Music aficionados come together for Austin’s annual fall music festival. Food and live music are spread throughout the park. Headliners include Jay-Z, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chance the Rapper, The Killers, Solange and more.

Rocktoberfest with the Avocados

Austin-based surf rock band The Avocados play St. Elmo’s Rocktoberfest Friday night. Beer and food are available.

German-Texan Heritage Society hosts annual Oktoberfest

The German-Texan Heritage Society holds this annual festival featuring live music, food, a biergarten, children’s activities and more.

The Natural Gardener hosts ‘Unique Groundcovers’ class

Pat McNeal of McNeal Growers hosts a “Unique Groundcovers” class covering new and unique ground covers, such as perennials, grasses and grass-like plants that are resources for efficient alternatives to typical species used as ground covers. McNeal will also discuss the novel uses of common ground cover.

Austin Flea sets up at Radio Coffee and Beer

The Austin Flea has been featuring local, handmade and vintage vendors in Austin since 2009. The event includes food, art and music. Coffee and beer are available in the bar.
