Updated at 12:37 p.m.: With all precincts in the district reporting as of 12:37 p.m., Mary Street Wilson received the most votes in U.S. House District 21, forcing a runoff election with Joseph Kopser in a close race.
Wilson finished the night with 15,669, or 30.92 percent of total votes. Kopser received 14,684, or 28.98 percent of votes in the race.
The final tally for Derrick Crowe was 11,686, or 23.06 percent. Elliott McFadden had 8,625, or 17.02 percent of votes.
Updated at 10:30 p.m.: Joseph Kopser leads the Democratic primary election in U.S. House District 21, with 668 precincts reporting as of 10:27 p.m.
Kopser holds the lead with 30.31 percent of votes, while Mary Street Wilson is narrowly behind with 29.94 percent of the vote.
Derrick Crowe has earned 22.88 percent and Elliott McFadden has 16.85 percent of votes.
Updated at 9:23 p.m.: With only 71 of 1,023 precincts reporting the U.S. House District 21 Democratic primary election results as of 9:21 p.m., Joseph Kopser has a slight lead with 30.83 percent of counted votes, followed by Mary Street Wilson with 28.63 percent, Derrick Crowe with 23.72 percent and Elliott McFadden with 16.80 percent of votes. A runoff election seems likely for the district.
Original Post, 8:30 p.m.: With early voting results confirmed by the Texas Office of the Secretary of State as of 8:12 p.m., Joseph Kopser leads the U.S. House District 21 Democratic primary with 30.919 percent of votes. Candidate Mary Street Wilson currently has the second most votes with 27.88 percent of the tally.
Derrick Crowe follows with 24.16 percent of early votes, while Elliott McFadden trails the pack with 17.03 percent of counted early votes.

Candidates in the race look to replace retiring Rep. Lamar Smith, R-San Antonio, who has served the district since 1987.
U.S. House District 21 covers portions of 10 different Central Texas counties, including Bandera, Bexar, Blanco, Comal, Gillespie, Hays, Kendall, Kerr, Real and Travis.
