Austin International Poetry Festival returns
Local and worldwide poets gather for four days of live performances, readings and workshops during the Austin International Poetry Festival. The event includes diverse themed poetry readings, open mics, workshops, music and poetry, anthology reading, dusk to dawn, and poetry symposium. $35-$50.

Cheetah Fest return to Sunset Valley Elementary
The annual family event includes carnival games, inflatables, face painting, food trucks and outdoor demonstrations. A silent auction is also held inside the school. Proceeds from the evening support grants to teachers for field trips, classroom equipment, student scholarships for after-school programs and staffing.  Free entry (game tickets needed to participate).

Get the facts on Medicare
The Austin Public Library invites the public to an educational presentation by licensed insurance agent Lee Green, who specializes in helping Medicare beneficiaries navigate their coverage options. He will cover topics to answer questions such as how to sign up for Medicare, costs, plan options and the difference between a Medicare supplement and a Medicare Advantage plan. Free.

Join the Sunset Valley citywide garage sale
All Sunset Valley households are invited to participate either at their property, or, by setting up a table at the SFC Farmer’s Market at Sunset Valley. A designated area next to the market has been reserved. There is no cost to reserve a space, but space is limited and will be reserved on a first come first served basis. Participants are responsible to bring their own tables, and for setting up and tearing down of reserved space. All shoppers welcome. Free.

Yoga with goats
ATX Goat Yoga heads to The Hive Sunday for four yoga classes throughout the day. The event is bring your own mat, but the goats will be supplied. Mats will be available to rent for $5 each at check in if needed. Included with the ticket purchase is a complimentary beverage. Each class will run between 30-45 minutes. All ages are welcome. $35.
