Create a fused flower garden arrangement
In this workshop, participants will make fused-glass flower gardens. Activities include learning to cut glass and how to make different types of flowers. Two classes will be available for the afternoon—mom-and-me and adult-only. $45.

Transform and set ambitious goals
Occupational therapist Karen Street will lead an interactive workshop that is designed to help guests transform, set and keep ambitious goals. Co-working space and child care facility, The Hive, will host the event. Child care will be available at the regular rate of $10 per hour per child with a 10 percent sibling discount. Free to attend.

Soar a kite at Flight Fest
This year’s event will include a live bird of prey show featuring raptors that soar over the audience, making and flying kites, a chance to play with parachutes, a hands-on look at how birds fly with an interactive exhibit from The Austin Nature and Science Center, construct and fly gliders, blow bubbles and more. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own blanket. Free.

Support jewelers in West Africa
Jewelry Academy of Austin invites the community to spend the afternoon with Tim McCreight as he speaks about the Toolbox Initiative fundraiser, an initiative that hand delivers new tools and support to jewelers in West Africa. A demonstration on tool-making, a Q&A session and a book signing will follow. A portion of proceeds will be donated to the Toolbox Initiative. $45.

Catch a movie and sip wine
South Austin’s local winery is hosting a movie and wine night with the viewing of “Clueless.” All of the tables and chairs will be cleared out so guests can bring their lawn chairs and blankets. The winery’s house wine will be served throughout the evening. Free.
