Early voting begins Tuesday. Do you know who is on your ballot?

Here's what you need to know to start your week in San Marcos, Buda and Kyle.


1. Early voting opens


The first day of early voting for the March 6 primaries is Tuesday. There's a lot of names on Hays County residents' ballots. See whom the candidates are and where to vote here.





2. Retailer H-E-B buys Austin-based delivery company Favor


H-E-B, the San Antonio-based retail chain, announced Thursday it will purchase Austin-based Favor Delivery, an app-based delivery service with a network of more than 50,000 statewide delivery drivers. While Favor will continue to operate independently as a separate brand, the partnership will complement H-E-B’s existing brick-and-mortar stores by expanding how customers choose to shop, pay for and receive products, according to a news release.





3. San Marcos CISD trustees to vote on schematic design for high school addition; discuss plans for administration building


The San Marcos CISD board of trustees' agenda for Tuesday night includes action on the approval of a schematic design of a $17.3 million addition to San Marcos High School to add new classrooms.

Trustees are also scheduled to discuss and possibly approve a plan for the district's new administration building. Last month, trustees voted to cap the spending on a new administration building at $3.5 million.





4. Commissioners court canceled Tuesday


Hays County commissioners will not meet Tuesday for their weekly meeting due to the Presidents Day holiday.





5. Room 111 replaces Troubadours in Kyle


Room 111 Live Concert & Event Center, 110 W. Center St., Kyle, took over Troubadours in December. While the same owners own the building, the new venue features live concerts of all musical genres.
