Donna Campbell takes GOP nomination for Senate District 25 primary race; Democrat Steven Kling narrowly defeats challenger

With 95 percent of precincts reporting, Democratic candidate Steven Kling and Republican candidate Donna Campbell will face off in the November general election for State Senate District 25.

The 25th district serves Comal, Guadalupe, Hays and Kendall counties and portions of Bexar and Travis counties.

Democrat

Jack Guerra

21,947 or 48.99 percent of the vote.

Steven Kling

22,846 or 51 percent of the vote.

Republican

Donna Campbell (incumbent)

58,796 or 73.72 percent of the vote.

Shannon McClendon

20,952 or 26.27 percent of the vote.
