Donate gifts for foster children through Partnerships for Children

Nonprofit Partnerships for Children offers a variety of services for children in Child Protective Services custody in Central Texas, including its holiday toy drive, Holiday Wishes. Donors can drop off gifts at the Partnerships for Children North Austin headquarters at 1400 Summit Drive or at a collection site at Domain Northside at 210 Esperanza Crossing, Ste. 122, Austin. Give the gift of pet food to shelters in need

Austin-based pet supply store Tomlinson’s Feed organizes an annual Pound4Pound pet food donation drive at all 15 of its stores, including its newest location at 4815 W. Braker Lane, Ste. 501, Austin. For every bag of food donated, Tomlinson’s Feed matches the donation. The program benefits shelters such as the Central Texas SPCA, The Williamson County Animal Shelter and Austin Dog Rescue. Donate to Toys for Tots at First Choice Emergency Room locations

First Choice Emergency Room partners with with national charity Toys for Tots to collect gift donations at any of its Austin locations through Dec. 9. The Northwest Austin location is at 10407 Jollyville Road, Austin. 512-628-0470. www.fcer.com

Help Austin Police Department and other local agencies collect gifts for area children

Operation Blue Santa was started by the Austin Police Department in 1972 and includes the Texas National Guard, the Austin Fire Department, Austin Water and Austin Energy. Police stations, fire departments and businesses throughout Austin serve as donation spots. Brighten the holidays for Travis County residents

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office organizes an annual gift drive for children in need in Travis County. It also benefits seniors in local retirement communities. There are several donation sites in North and Northwest Austin. 512-247-2682. www.tcsheriff.org/brown-santa/donations
