Veterans Day deals and benefits in and around Northwest Austin this weekend


A list of deals and benefits veterans and active-duty military members can receive this Veterans Day weekend, Nov. 9-12.

Enjoy a free lunch at Texas Roadhouse

Veterans and active-duty members can eat for free at Texas Roadhouse on Saturday, Nov. 11 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  For guests with a valid military ID, Texas Roadhouse will offer 10 different free entrees, including a 6-ounce sirloin steak with two sides.

Order free wings and more at Pluckers

Pluckers Wing Bar will offer free meals for veterans and active-duty military at all Texas locations on Saturday, Nov. 11. With a valid military ID, guests can order a complimentary entree, side and non-alcoholic beverage for a value up to $15.

Start with free appetizers at The Park

Veterans and active-duty military members with a valid ID can stop by The Park at The Domain or on South Lamar Boulevard, on Nov. 11 for a free appetizer such as chicken chipotle quesadillas, sirloin sliders or spinach artichoke dip.

Benefit local veterans by riding with RideAustin

From Thursday Nov. 9 to Sunday Nov. 12, ride-hailing service, RideAustin, will incorporate a “Ride with a Veteran” option on its app that will allow users to ride with a driver that is a veteran and have $1 from the ride donated to local veterans organizations.

RideAustin also announced Nov. 7 a partnership with Bluebonnet Trails Community Services, an organization that provides health care services to Central Texans. Through the new partnership, RideAustin will provide veterans access to transportation to mental health and medical appointments throughout the greater Austin Area.

Visit the LBJ Library for free

The Lyndon Baines Johnson Presidential Library offers free admission for Veterans Friday Nov. 10 and free admission for all visitors on Nov. 11.
