Celebrate the 4th day of Kwanzaa
The George Washington Carver Museum hosts a Kwanzaa celebration on Dec. 29, the fourth of seven days of Kwanzaa. The George Washington Carver Museum is dedicated to the collection, preservation and exhibition of historical and cultural material reflecting all dimensions of experiences of persons of African descent living in Austin and the United States, according to the Austin Parks and Recreation Department. The fourth day of Kwanzaa celebrates the principle of Ujamaa, which means cooperative economics, according to a release from the department.

Celebrate New Year’s Eve at two venues with one ticket
The Rose Room and 77 Degrees Rooftop at Domain Northside are collaborating for a New Year’s Eve party to ring in 2018. One ticket grants access to both adjacent venues. Attendees can purchase bottle service at discounted prices depending on group size as well as reserve tables at either venue. Guests must be 21 years of age and up.
Find New Year’s dinner, drinks and brunch all in one place
St. Genevieve at Domain Northside offers a four-course dinner for $50 a person and $25 for an optional champagne pairing on New Year’s Eve. After 9 p.m. the restaurant and bar begins New Years Eve celebrations with a live DJ, party favors and a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Cover is $20 after 9 p.m. On New Year’s Day, the restaurant serves brunch with items such as English toffee french toast, crabcake benedicts, $20 mimosa carafes and more.

Celebrate New Year’s day with a brunch buffet
