See Concordia University’s documentary-style play


Concordia University Theater will present a production of the play “SEVEN” which tells the true stories of seven women and their work to combat injustices throughout the world. The play tackles issues such as domestic violence, human trafficking and education rights.

Celebrate Catch Air’s 2nd Anniversary

Indoor play center Catch Air in Anderson Mill celebrates its 2-year anniversary on Friday Nov. 10. The event features face paint, snacks and a dance party with photo opportunities with Pup Patrol and Rainbow Pony cartoon costume performers.

Brush up on language skills at bilingual fair

The Asian American Resource Center hosts a Bilingual fair on Saturday Nov. 11. Attendees can participate in kid-friendly activities in Spanish, Mandarin and French throughout the afternoon. Panel discussions geared towards education are available for adults as well.

Check out an International craft market that offers fair trade items

Hope Presbyterian church hosts its World of Hope Fair Trade Market on Nov. 11 and 12. Items for sale include clothing, jewelry, baskets, tea, coffee and candies sold at prices that help support families from around the world.

Support victims of Hurricane Harvey

The Salvation Army hosts a benefit concert at LifeAustin Amphitheatre in Southwest Austin featuring Cory Morrow and other Texas musicians to raise money for the Salvation Army’s Hurricane Harvey relief efforts.

Raise money for the National Kidney Foundation

The National Kidney Foundation and Fresenius Medical Care host Austin Kidney Walk this weekend at Concordia University. More than 80 cents of every dollar raised goes towards supporting National Kidney Foundation programs. Special guests include Fox 7 New Anchor, Rebecca Thomas and singer Charlite Brooks, known as Lil Miss Swag.
