Real Estate Market at a glance


Data provided by the Austin Board of Realtors shows current real estate trends in the city of New Braunfels from January 2017 to May 2018 and January 2018 to May 2019.





Average Days on the Market


Average days on the market details the relative age of a home listing defined by the total number of days a listing is active on the market before an offer is accepted. In New Braunfels, average days on the market saw a combined increase of 3.97% from the previous year.





Number of Homes Sold


The number of homes sold in the city of New Braunfels during a 12-month period (June 2017–May 2018) totaled 2,506 for an average of 209 homes sold each month. The median sale price of homes sold in the area was $305,229.10.





Average Home Sales Price


In contrast, 2018-2019 numbers for the January through May period showed 1,879 total homes sold for an average of 157 homes sold each month. The median sale price of area homes during the same time period was $322,349.97.





New Homes Sold


New home sales are one indicator of a healthy real estate market. In 2018, Comal County alone totaled 3,472 home sales.
