UPDATE: Guadalupe County Precinct 4 Commissioner election will result in runoff

Three candidates were on the Republican ballot to fill the Guadalupe County Commissioner Precinct 4 seat. With all precincts reporting, unofficial election results show incumbent Judy Cope and Daniel Kearns defeating T. “Jake” Jacobs to advance to a runoff election.

Judy Cope

1,075 votes, or 42.17 percent

Daniel Kearns

873 votes, or 34.25 percent

T.”Jake” Jacobs

601 votes, or 23.58 percent

Because neither of the leading Republican candidates received 50 percent of the vote, a runoff election will take place May 22. The winner of the Cope-Kearns runoff election will face off against Democratic candidate Rebecca “Becca” Tucker, who was uncontested in the primary election.

All results are unofficial until canvassed. For more local primary election results and coverage, visit communityimpact.com/vote.
