Here are five events in Leander and Cedar Park this weekend, including a volunteer day at the Baker Sanctuary and roast of Leander Mayor Chris Fielder.


  1. Teen game night takes place at Leander library
    Leander Public Library hosts the Game Night Krew, with games, tournaments and snacks for ages 12-19. Participants should RSVP at [email protected]

2. Volunteers participate in work day at Baker Sanctuary
Volunteers may help remove invasive plants and maintain trials and facilities at the sanctuary for the Golden-Cheeked Warbler.

3. Natural snacks sold at Restore Transform fundraiser
Proceeds from the Tea Party & Natural Bake Sale benefit the center’s financial aid program to help low-income patients receive Restore Transform’s holistic wellness services.

4. Leander Mayor Chris Fielder subject of 2nd Annual Roast & Toast
Proceeds from the roast of Leander Mayor Chris Fielder benefit the Twin Lakes Family YMCA’s Annual Campaign.

5. Austin Spurs face the Iowa Wolves
The Austin Spurs, the affiliate of the NBA's San Antonio Spurs, play a G-League basketball game against the Iowa Wolves, the affiliate of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The project will build stormwater drainage infrastructure to direct water into Cluck Creek. It would be along Monarch Drive between Cedar Park Drive and Lonestar Drive.
