    The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of several plans for residential and commercial developments in the city.

  1. Cedar Park, Leander accepting Christmas trees for recycling
    Residents of Cedar Park and Leander can recycle their Christmas trees through city programs that use the trees for mulch.

  1. Lone Star Grille & Amphitheater closed Dec. 23
    The music venue and restaurant will be closed indefinitely.

  1. Austin Board of Realtors named interim CEO
    Emily Chenevert will serve as the organization’s chief executive officer.

  1. May election candidates can pick up forms
    Leander residents interested in running for city council or mayor in the May election can pick up a packet of forms and important information at City Hall starting Jan. 2. Candidates in both Leander and Cedar Park must file between Jan. 17-Feb. 16 at 5 p.m.
