Thursday, March 8
African Art and Wine Showcase

The Lakeway/Lake Travis Rotary Club will showcase African Wine and Art on March 8 at 6 p.m. at Twin Liquors, Lakeway. Twin Liquors staff will provide a brief seminar entitled African Wines 101 accompanied by a wine tasting. Following the Twin Liquors presentation, artist Linda Wells will show a powerpoint of art she has developed for a school in Tanzania and will display the five murals that are a joint effort between herself and members of the Bunkhouse Gallery.

March Wine Walk in Bee Cave

Hill Country Galleria is hosting its monthly Wine Walk event on Thursday, March 8, where guests can shop the mix of retailers while sampling great wines from around the world. Attendees will receive a swag bag with Hill Country Galleria offers. Guests start at Twin Liquors to pick up a map that also acts as a ticket at each of the stops. The event is free and open to the public. Participating stores this month include Twin Liquors, Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa, Shilpa Rathi Lifestyle Boutique, Wythaus Gallery, Freedom Solar Power and Hill Country Dentists.

Saturday, March 10
Freedom Solar Power Lunch and Learn Session

Freedom Solar Power is hosting Lunch and Learn sessions the first Wednesday and second Saturday of every month, from 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., for attendees to learn more about solar power. Guests will have a chance to hear the latest industry news, learn about typical system costs and what to consider before going solar. Guests interested in attending should email to RSVP, or with any questions.

Limited edition beer launch at the Oasis Texas Brewing Company

Austin Hackney United, a Sister Cities organization that nurtures the twinning relationship between Austin and London, is having a launch event to celebrate the release of a new limited edition craft beer, Cockney Cowboy, created to celebrate the six-year formal friendship between the two cities. The event will take place Sunday, March 11 from noon-2 p.m. at the Oasis Texas Brewing Company, 4550 Comanche Trail, overlooking Lake Travis in Austin. It is open to all. and no badges are required. Although RSVPs are requested at the Eventbrite page here. An RSVP includes beer tastings, a cash bar, food, music by Vision Arcade, English classic modern Triumph motorcycles from Killeen Power Sports and Central Texas riders and Mini Cooper classic cars.
