Destination Science Camps
Colleyville is a hotspot of several Destination Science camps this year, including Amusement Park Science Camp, Transforming Robots, Rovers Rocketing to Space, and Science Makers and Inventors. The camps include hands-on projects to embrace engineering and creativity.

This cooking camp features a week of making and decorating different kinds of chocolates. Campers will work with peanut butter cups, coconut haystacks and chocolate sculptures.

Gardener Camp: Junior Horticulturist
During this four-day camp, students will learn the basics of horticulture through interactive instructions and hands-on plant-based activities. Each day will include different areas of the plant science world, including insects and what their jobs are in nature, vegetable gardening and the importance of composting.

Natural Discovery Camp
The Bob Jones Nature Center holds camps to engage campers with different aspects of nature. Depending on the week, younger campers can learn about insects or fossils, predators or burrowers, while older campers become explorers of water, woods or wildlife. These camps offer lessons in nature while getting campers outdoors.

OontzKids DJ Camps
At OontzKids DJ Academy, campers will learn about and become DJs. The camp, split into two levels, teaches students about music history and theory, introduces them to DJ equipment, and breaks down techniqiues like sampling and mixing. At the end of each camp, campers choose their own DJ name alias, design a personal logo and perform a set in front of the class.

Play-Well Lego Camps
Play-Well’s Lego camps teach campers the ins and outs of basic engineering. Using popular properties such as “Star Wars” and “Minecraft,” instructors lead the campers through building projects that demonstrate the mechanics of inertia, motion, gears and connected systems, among other lessons. Urban Foodies Camp
Urban Foodies introduces students to the art of cooking both on the town and in the kitchen. All sessions tour different restaurants, vendors or markets, host Q&As with foodie experts and hold cooking classes back at the Taste Buds Kitchen. Campers will be able to learn about the food as well as how to make it.
