The Falls Event Center in Gilbert recently closed due to bankruptcy, but the venue is now under new management. Colby Falls Wedgewood Weddings officially opened at The Falls location at 4635 E. Baseline Road in Gilbert on June 25.

"When The Falls Event Center Gilbert became available, we realized this was a great opportunity to reach more local couples," said Kate Paulley, vice president of marketing at Wedgewood Weddings.

Wedgewood Weddings operates three other venues in Arizona: in Mesa, Chandler and Goodyear.

The company will be making several renovations to the Gilbert venue for the 2020 wedding season, but Paulley said they are not disclosing the upgrades until they are complete.

Wedgewood Weddings will host other events as well, such as vow renewals, anniversary celebrations, holiday parties, conferences and quinceneras.

"To put it simply," Paulley said, "if it involves a gathering of people, our team will happily make it happen."
