Lacy Klasel

Nashville Metro Publisher

After graduating from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Lacy Klasel was hired as an inside sales representative handling major accounts with the Arizona Daily Sun. Lacy quickly moved up to be a top producer and outside sales account executive in the largest territory within the company’s footprint.

In 2005, Lacy moved back to Texas to be near family and continued her sales career for the next nine years in legal sales. An instant fan and loyal reader of Community Impact Newspaper, Lacy was thrilled when she discovered the opportunity to lead the company’s San Marcos satellite office. In 2014, Lacy officially joined the team as a general manager and was ecstatic to help deliver on CI’s mission. Lacy moved back to Austin in April 2016 and took over as the GM for Community Impact Newspaper’s Southwest Austin edition and successfully added Dripping Springs to the circulation. Lacy took on the Northwest Austin market in early 2019 and was the first GM to successfully manage two markets. She has sat on various boards and has been a chamber ambassador while receiving internal awards and recognition over the years.

When the opportunity opened to become the next Nashville publisher, Lacy jumped at the opportunity and moved to Nashville in January 2020. Lacy is extremely passionate about Community Impact Newspaper’s mission and believes the work is crucial in connecting the communities we serve. Her faith in community journalism and the CI model drives her to succeed.

In her free time, Lacy enjoys exploring Music City with her family. She also enjoys watching football, wine tasting, camping, reading and listening to live music.
