Chief Information Officer
Aaron Murray joined Community Impact Newspaper in 2017 to help the organization grow and prepare for the challenges of expansion. After working at large, successful corporations, including Toyota Motor Corp. and Amazon.com, and playing key roles in growth of smaller businesses, such as BuildASign, Aaron brings significant strategic business and technology experience to the CI team.
Aaron earned a bachelor’s degree in computer science with a minor in business administration from California State University, Chico. In 2007 he moved with his wife and first child to Texas. They now have five children and enjoy raising them in Round Rock.
What motivates Aaron …
Opportunity. Aaron said it provides the chance to “dig deep, work with others and accomplish more than we can by ourselves.”
The best advice he would give a young professional …
“Remain hungry. Continue learning. Be helpful. Do something.”
When he’s outside of the office …
Aaron enjoys spending time with his family, whether that be a family game night or driving around the country in their Sprinter van.
