Dallas Area Rapid Transit announced on its website that it has suspended all rail and bus services Friday, Feb. 4, through noon Sunday, Feb. 6, due to "untenable ice conditions."

The National Weather Service has issued a hard freeze warning for all of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, beginning at midnight Saturday, Feb. 5, through 9 a.m. that day. Road conditions across the region continue to remain extremely dangerous, according to DART, which is recommending everyone avoid travel wherever possible.

DART implemented winter weather precautions earlier in the week, suspending DART rail operations starting Feb. 3 while operating emergency bus routes.

Passengers who need emergency service should contact the DART Customer Information Center at 214-979-1111, according to the agency.

All subscription trips for DART Paratransit have been canceled with the exception of trips for medical purposes, including dialysis treatment. Services will resume on Monday, Feb. 7.

The Trinity Railway Express will operate on a Saturday schedule for Feb. 4 and will operate a normal schedule Feb. 5. Services will return to normal operations on Monday, Feb. 7.

DART said it will continue to monitor the weather conditions across the North Texas area for the safety of passengers and employees, and determine service restoration based on weather conditions. Riders can stay informed about service change updates by registering for DART Alerts at www.dart.org.
