A project to improve Lakeview and Pinehurst drives includes replacing pavement, improving sidewalks and the installation of ramps compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act, according to the city of Richardson.

The waterline on both streets will be replaced as well as the sanitary sewers. An upgraded drainage system will also be installed.

Project boundaries on Pinehurst Drive stretch from Wisteria Way to North Floyd Road and on Lakeview Drive from Creekdale to West Shore drives. Construction is slated to begin this month and end in July.

The $1.7 million project will be funded through the city of Richardson's 2015 general obligation program.
