Collin County health officials reported a total of 570 confirmed positive cases of the new coronavirus April 21.

Plano residents make up 163 of the county's confirmed cases, according to the county's health dashboard.

The afternoon of April 20, the county reported 17 new cases of the virus, five of whom were confirmed to be Plano residents in a city of Plano release.

Twenty-six additional county cases had been identified by Collin County as of 3:30 p.m. April 21. This included eight Plano residents, according to an April 22 city report.

The county also announced the death of an 86-year old McKinney woman April 21. The woman had underlying health conditions and had tested positive for COVID-19, according to health officials, and was Collin County's 14th person to die after testing positive for the new coronavirus.


Including Denton County cases, the total number of positive cases in Plano is 167, according to an April 22 city report.
