Plano ISD board meeting


The Plano ISD board of trustees meets Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the PISD Administration Building, 2700 W. 15th St., Plano. Board members will vote on a variety of agenda items, including $180,000 to purchase health supplies for the district and multiple roofing repair projects. North Texas Performing Arts and Plano Children’s Theatre groundbreaking


The Shops at Willow Bend holds a groundbreaking for the Willow Bend Center for the Arts on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. This center will be home to the Plano Children’s Theatre and North Texas Performing Arts. The new theater will be located near Dillard’s on the upper level of the Shops at Willow Bend, 6121 W. Park Blvd., Plano. The Plano Children’s Theatre is scheduled to open in June. ‘Little Women: The Broadway Musical’


Edge Dance & Performing Arts presents this musical following the adventures of sisters Jo, Meg, Beth and Amy March. Jo tries to sell her stories for publication, with little luck and receives advice from her friend telling her to write more from herself. Taking this advice, Joe weaves the story of herself, her sisters and their experience growing up in Civil War America. Showings take place Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Cox Playhouse, 1517 H Ave., Plano. St. Patrick’s Day celebration
