ArtCentre of Plano photography exhibition


The ArtCentre of Plano is hosting an exhibition featuring the photography of local artist Gabrielle Castaneda Pruitt at the Courtyard Theater, 1509 H Ave., Plano, now through Nov. 30. The exhibit, “Language of My Own,” will showcase Castaneda’s visual linguistic studies from her daily travels revealing the simplicity in everyday moments. Early voting


The last day for early voting is Nov. 4 and polls close at 7 p.m. Registered voters in Collin County can chose from 32 locations across the county, eight of which are in Plano. Here is a list of Plano locations:

“The Lion King, Jr.”

Movies Under the Stars

Electronics recycling


The city of Plano has partnered with United Electronic Recycling to provide recycling services to residents, businesses and educational organizations in Collin County. Those wishing to recycle their old electronics may do so from 9 a.m.-noon Nov. 5 at First United Methodist Church, 3160 E. Spring Creek Parkway, Plano. UER will accept computer related equipment, printers, audio and video equipment, consumer electronics, televisions and cell phones. There will be a $5 fee for CRT Monitors, a $10 fee for televisions 32 inches or smaller, and a $20 fee for televisions larger than 32 inches.
