Here are some events taking place in McKinney this weekend.

1. 2Perform Fitness will host its grand opening Saturday


2Perform Fitness is expected to open on July 8 at 3851 S. Stonebridge Drive, Ste. 600, McKinney. The fitness studio specializes in one-on-one personal training, which includes high-intensity exercises that typically take about 20 minutes two to three times a week.

2Perform Fitness uses ARX Fit machines including the Alpha and Omni, which show trackable results on the screen in front of users.

2. Distinctively Hers opens location in McKinney


Distinctively Hers is expected to open its first location in McKinney Saturday at 110 W. Virginia St. The women’s clothing stores features a variety of footwear, accessories, denim, dresses, tops and more. Distinctively Hers also has a location in Frisco that opened in 2007.

3. Sidewalk Sale takes over Downtown McKinney


Ettiene Market, located at 115 W. Louisiana St., teamed up with more than 30 downtown stores for a Second Saturday Sidewalk Sale. For more information and to see which stores are participating, check out the event’s Facebook page.

4. Trolley tours of city’s historic district to run


Experience a trolley ride through downtown and hear about historic homes, buildings and significant people. The tour runs Saturday from 10-11 a.m. $7 (children, seniors, military), $10 (adults). Chestnut Square Historic Village, 315 S. Chestnut St. www.chestnutsquare.org

5. Shred old documents at Trinity Falls Saturday


At Trinity Falls’ Shred, White and Blue event, attendees can shred their old documents. There will also be a bounce house, balloon artist and face painter at the event which will benefit Shiloh Place. Free ice cream and food for purchase will also be available. 6. Pamper Me Salon Spa to celebrate soft opening


Pamper Me Salon Spa Studios is expected to open July 9 at 8951 Collin McKinney Parkway, Ste. 504, McKinney. The studio will be occupied by independent licensed beauty professionals specializing in hair, nails, esthetics and make up.

The soft opening event will take place from 4-7 p.m. The event includes pampering, a raffle, complimentary mini salon services, refreshments and gift bags for the first 15 guests. To RSVP, visit the spa’s website.
