Edwards Floral Design has served McKinney residents since 1992 when owner Stacy Edwards decided to pursue her passion of conveying emotions in floral design.

“I just always think everyone that walks through the door or calls us over the phone has some emotional attachment to why they are ordering flowers,” Edwards said. “… So we just have to find out what that [emotion] is and how to express it and how we can best help them do that.”

The full-service floral shop makes floral arrangements, sells gifts and offers delivery.

The design team regularly creates floral arrangements for homes, weddings, parties, funerals, anniversaries, birthdays, hospital stays, corporate events and high school proms. The team also creates arrangements for holidays, such as Christmas, Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.

Edwards said she describes her style as European floral design, which is less traditional and geometric, and instead more free-form, open and airy. She said, however, each arrangement is carefully personalized to fit the customer.

“What I like to do is think, … ‘How can we best help that person convey their feelings?’” she said. “‘Is that three dozen roses, or a three-rose bud vase?’ Truly it doesn’t matter as long as it conveys what that person is trying to get across.”

In order to provide the best quality, Edwards Floral Design imports different species of flowers from all over the world, such as roses from South America.

The shop also offers a Bling Bar where promgoers can choose a wristlet, bling, flowers and ribbons to create a corsage or boutonniere.
