Jon Kixmiller elected to Highland Village City Council Place 2 after Jim Archibald’s secedes from runoff race

The Highland Village runoff election for Place 2 has been cancelled due to Jim Archibald withdrawing as a candidate. Jon Kixmiller will be elected to Place 2.

A runoff for Place 2 was scheduled for June 16 as no candidate received more than 50 percent of the votes in the May 5 election. Jim Archibald and Jon Kixmiller received the most votes with 18.68 percent and 45.44 percent, respectively.

A swearing in ceremony for Kixmiller and Robert Fiester, who was elected on May 5 to Place 6, will be held at the June 12 city council meeting.

The May 22 city council meeting was canceled due to the primary runoff election being held at city hall tomorrow.
