Phase 2 of FM 1709 Landscape Enhancements Green Ribbon Project
Project: Median improvements will occur along FM 1709 from Bourland Road to Pearson Lane. Improvements include adding Texas native and adaptive plants, decomposed granite and river rock mulch.
Update: The project was approved at the Dec. 2 Keller City Council meeting

Project: Ray White Road will be widened to a four-lane divided road between Mirage Drive and the bridge over Bear Creek. The project includes adding sidewalks, improving street lights, modifying the roundabout on Ray White Road and Park Vista Boulevard, and making drainage improvements.
Update: Starting Dec. 1, the portion of the roundabout located at Wyndrook Street will close to reconstruct the second half of the Ray White Road and Park Vista Boulevard roundabout. Neighborhood traffic will be able to enter and exit using Hillcroft Road. Bison Court will remain open to Wall Price Keller as an alternative egress point.

Project: Work includes widening and reconstructing the road, improving utilities and drainage, adding parking, sidewalks, seating, landscaping, lighting and wayfinding signage.
Update: Work recently completed includes the installation of a new waterline from Keller Parkway to Pecan Street, installing roughly half of the telecom ductbanks and Oncor ductbanks, re-grading Bear Creek Parkway, removing existing water and storm drain pipes from Keller Parkway to Bates Street and installing new overhead service poles, said Rachel Reynolds, Keller’s communication and public engagement manager.

Project: The project consists of constructing a 10-foot sidewalk connecting Woodborough Lane to Roanoke Road.
Update: The most recent work completed includes installing a 10-foot trail from Woodborough Lane to Roanoke Road, installing a storm drain and adding 650 feet of 6-foot sidewalks along Roanoke Road, Reynolds said.

Project: The work will include adding dual left-turn lanes going northbound and southbound on Championship Parkway, constructing ADA-compliant sidewalks and ramps, and reconfiguring the existing travel lane on Championship Parkway.
Update: The Denton County Commissioners Court awarded the project to JR West Texas Concrete Nov. 4.

- Funding source: Denton County, city of Fort Worth
Project: A traffic light will be installed at the intersection of North Beach Street and Champions View Parkway. Intersection improvements include new pedestrian sidewalks, crosswalks, ramps and accessible pedestrian signals.
Update: The median work is 90% complete; the installation of the traffic signal and pedestrian signal infrastructure is 80% complete; the installation of ADA ramps, crosswalks and striping is 70% complete; and traffic signal flash and activation is anticipated to be ready in January or February, according to Fort Worth’s Transportation and Public Works department.

Project: The project involves installing a three-lane undivided concrete pavement section from Park Vista Boulevard to Lauren Way and adding street lights, sidewalks and stormwater drainage improvements.
Update: The contractor is currently restoring the pavement and sidewalk along Keller Hicks Road up to Katy Road, according to Fort Worth’s Transportation and Public Works department. The contractor completed their first culvert in October and is expected to complete the second culvert by January, which will open the roadway to one-way traffic for the eastbound lane. Storm drainage installation will begin in January with a four-month completion period. Grading and paving will start around May and finish at the end of 2026.
