Great Hearts Prairie View, a charter school, is opening at 1750 Rufe Snow Drive in Keller for kindergarten through third grade, said David LaPointe, the director of campus operations. The school will open for classes in fall 2022 for the 2022-23 school year.

However, the Rufe Snow location is the charter school’s temporary site with its permanent location about 5 miles west off of US 287 and I-35, LaPointe said. An exact address is not known yet. The permanent school will expand to kindergarten through seventh grade or eighth grade, and groundbreaking on the about 20-acre site is set for June and will be ready for the 2023-24 school year.

“That second year, as we move to the permanent location, we're tripling our enrollment,” LaPointe said. “And it'll be a big, beautiful building.”

Great Hearts Prairie View is just one of Greats Hearts’ “tuition-free, classic liberal arts” charter schools, LaPointe said. Great Hearts opened its first schools in the Phoenix area with several locations throughout the state. The charter school also has locations in San Antonio as well as in Arlington, Irving and Fort Worth. 817-259-0738. https://prairieview.greatheartsamerica.org
