A new animal care and adoption campus for the city of Fort Worth broke ground Jan. 8 at the intersection of Hwy. 81 and Hicks Road.

The $13.7 million facility was approved by voters in 2018 and is expected to be completed in January 2021, according to a city news release.

The facility will house an adoption center, veterinary clinic, work space and indoor kennels.

The buildings will be designed based on cattle barns at the Will Rogers Memorial Center, the release said. 817-392-1234. www.fortworthtexas.gov
