The Plano City Council will hold several public hearings during its Jan. 11 meeting. During the hearings, City Council will consider resolutions to support builder applications for a 9 percent housing tax credit through the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs.





The meeting starts at 7 p.m., with a preliminary meeting scheduled to take place immediately after council's 5 p.m. workshop at Municipal Center, 1520 K Ave.

Other items for discussion include:

  • Consider a rezoning request for 61 acres at the southwest corner of Park Boulevard and Alma Drive for the development of approximately 70 patio homes (applicant: Pitman Partners LTD)

  • Consider an appeal of the Planning and Zoning Commission's  denial of a concept plan for 413 multifamily housing units to be built on 16 acres on the east side of Alma Drive south of Park Boulevard (applicant: Plano Riverwalk Development Partners, LTD)

  • Council members will also receive a briefing by city staff on the new open carry laws during its preliminary meeting.
