GCISD released a statement on its website informing students and parents all schools and district facilities will be closed.
Students are not expected to participate in remote learning. After-school activities will also be rescheduled, according to the statement.
Carroll ISD also announced closures in a tweet that was displayed on the district's website.
Carroll ISD campuses and offices will be closed Thursday, February 24, due to anticipated inclement weather and unsafe driving conditions throughout the area. According to the post, schools and all district offices will be closed Feb. 24.
