Several major road projects are making progress in the Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake areas.

1. SH 26 Phase 2


GCS September Transportation Updates

On the SH 26 project in Colleyville, motorists can expect to see construction activity continue south of Centerpark Drive, including bridge work at Little Bear Creek bridge and concrete pavement placement on the east side of SH 26 near Brown Trail and Centerpark.
Construction activity throughout the rest of the project will include continued preparation of the right of way area, asphalt prep work at various locations and concrete pavement placement at various cross streets.
Main Street at SH 26 as well as Tinker Road at SH 26 is expected to be fully reconstructed and reopened at the end of September. The project consists of the widening of SH 26 from four lanes with a continuous left-turn lane to six lanes from John McCain Road to Brown.

2. Pleasant Run Road reconstruction


GCS September Transportation Updates

Pleasant Run Road is open only to northbound traffic from L.D. Lockett Road to John McCain Road. Southbound traffic should detour from John McCain to SH 26 or John McCain to Westcoat Drive. Work through early September has consisted of utility relocation, placing an underground storm drain and more. Work will then shift to installing ribbon curb, sidewalks, subgrade preparation and paving. When complete, the road will be reconstructed from Shelton Drive to John McCain.

3. SH 121/SH 360 interchange


GCS September Transportation Updates

Crews continue to work on the new eastbound SH 114 bridge to southbound SH 121 deck in Grapevine in order to open the new bridge to traffic by the fall. Workers also continue to work on the new roads that will connect northbound SH 121/360 to westbound SH 114 with bridge, dirt and paving work. Crews are scheduled to open this bridge later in the fall. From northbound SH 360, there will be two new ramps when complete: one to SH 121 and one to SH 114. From northbound SH 121, there will be a new ramp to westbound SH 114 and a reconfigured exit to William D. Tate Avenue.
