Paycom, a payroll and human resources technology company, broke ground on its new 150,000-square-foot operations center April 10 at 3489 SH 121, Grapevine.

Various city officials, staff and other community members joined Paycom representatives for the groundbreaking ceremony.

“We’re excited about the future,” Paycom founder and CEO Chad Richison said at the groundbreaking. “Our 14-acre campus will eventually house 1,000 well-paying jobs and provide us and the city with even greater opportunities. … We’ve invested in the future of our business by breaking ground here today.”

The operation center is part of a 14-acre campus and will contribute to the local economy, according to a joint April 3 news release from Paycom and the city of Grapevine. Construction will begin immediately and is expected to take two years.

“Grapevine is incredibly proud to be home to Paycom, one of the fastest growing human capital management companies in the U.S. and one of the most innovative companies in the world,” Mayor William D. Tate said in the news release. “Innovation is such an important part of Grapevine’s heritage. Whether entertaining families, or creating the next generation of HR technology, this fast-paced leader is a perfect fit for the Grapevine footprint.”
