This week there are city council meetings in Grapevine, Colleyville and Southlake as well as important deadlines. Here are three things you should know this week:

1. Grapevine City Council will vote on a Renaissance Hotel
Grapevine City Council members will hold a joint meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commission on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at City Hall, 200 S. Main St., Grapevine. At the meeting officials will decide on whether to approve a nine-story, 300-room Renaissance Hotel that would be located at 2225 Bass Pro Court. If approved, the hotel will feature conference space, a restaurant that can seat 150 guests and a swimming pool.

2. Deadline for Carroll ISD committees is Friday
There are five CISD committees that are in need of members: Audit Committee, Budget & Finance Committee, School Health Advisory Committee, District Advisory Committee and the Campus Site-Based Decision-Making Committee. The deadline to apply is 4:30 p.m. Friday. Applications must be returned to the superintendent's office at the Carroll ISD Administration Center, 2400 N. Carroll Ave., Southlake. 3. Colleyville City Council set to adopt budget, ad valorem tax rate Tuesday
Council members are expected to approve a $23 million budget along with a tax rate of $0.33913 per $100 valuation. The previous year's tax rate was $0.355900 per $100 valuation.The average residential value for fiscal year 2016 was $423,650, and the average residential value for FY 2017 is $460,461. If the proposed tax rate is adopted, it will equate to an average annual property tax increase of $53.79, or an adjustment of $4.48 per month.
