Friday night fireworks

Back from a two-season hiatus, Grapevine’s Friday night lights return this Memorial Day weekend as part of the city’s ninth annual SummerBlast. The 11-minute fireworks show will light up the Texas night sky over Lake Grapevine every Friday from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. 9:30 p.m. Free. SummerFest 2017 kicks off at the Gaylord Texan

The family-friendly activities, themed after Lone Star Adventures, features a local artists art tour, firework shows, a Western comedy show, an escape room, gold panning, canvas painting, scavenger hunts, strolling entertainers, live music, a Build-A-Bear mobile workshop, spa specials and happy hours. Good Shepherd Catholic Community's Annual Garage Sale
