The Frisco ISD board of trustees will discuss bond recommendations and the proposed 2018 tax rate during Thursday's special meeting.

The meeting agenda does not include details as to what the recommendations are. The board would not be making any decisions on an election during this special meeting but would be discussing the items again during the Aug. 13 regular board meeting, FISD spokeswoman Meghan Cone said. The last day the board could call an election for a bond proposition or a tax ratification election to appear on the November ballot is Aug. 20, she said.

The Facilities & Programs Evaluation Committee will be making the recommendations at the special meeting. The committee was created to advise the district on the the long-term facilities and program needs of FISD.

The committee has reviewed school and classroom capacity projections, the state of some of the district's older buildings and the current security measures, among other topics, according to the committee's presentations. The committee has also toured some of the district's campuses.

Thursday's meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the FISD Administration Building, 5515 Ohio Drive.
