A Collin County committee is preparing to promote economic recovery and to get families back to work.

At an April 13 Collin County Commissioners Court meeting, County Judge Chris Hill said he appointed the Collin County Economic Recovery Task Force last week.

Hill said the committee is made up of business and industry leaders from across Collin County. It includes businesses of all sizes and differing industries, he said.

“I’ve asked these business leaders to begin preparing for what will eventually be our Phase 2 response, if we describe our current status as Phase 1 [since] we’re working to stop the spread and to make sure all of our public health institutions are ready to respond,” Hill said.

The committee has two objectives, Hill said: to get Collin County families working as soon as possible and to develop guidance for city, county and state officials to promote economic recovery in the county.

Additional details regarding the Collin County Economic Recovery Task Force is expected to come from the county this week, Hill said.
