Tickets are available for the Collin County Business Alliance's annual mayoral summit on Friday, June 26 at the the Capital One Plano Conference Center, 8036 Dominion Parkway.

The summit, which will address challenges facing the growth and prosperity of Collin County, will feature a six-person mayoral panel discussion with mayors from Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Richardson and Wylie, business-government round tables and a presentation by keynote speaker and author of "The Solution Revolution" William D. Eggers.

Topics of discussion will primarily focus  on education, transportation and water. Having already experienced explosive growth within the past 15 years, Collin County has grown by 80 percent and its population is expected to exceed 2.1 million people by 2045, according to the alliance. The summit serves as a platform for business and community leaders and influencers to  discuss areas where public and private partnerships can collaborate to ensure a vibrant future for the area, Capital One Financial Services President and CCBA Chairman, Sanjiv Yajnik said.

“As one of the leading voices of business in the community, CCBA strives to keep business leaders, elected officials and the general public engaged in local and statewide issues,” Yajnik said in a news release. “Collin County is one of the fastest growing counties in Texas, and it is crucial to the progression of the region that we alter our focus toward creating a plan to initiate positive growth and a clear vision for the region’s next 20 to 30 years.”

Eggers is a distinguished author and government consultant who will provide insight on government  reform and restructuring. Each attendee will receive a free signed copy of Eggers’ book.  The mayoral panel begins at noon and will be moderated by Dallas Business Journal editor Paul O’Donnell.

“We need to plan for and shape our vibrant county. But our local governments and city officials can’t do it alone," Yajnik said. "We need your help, your voices, your ideas, your active involvement during this year’s summit. Business leaders have to step up, collaborate and find innovative solutions to these issues to ensure our county has the necessary tools available to continue down our path of strong growth.”

Tickets are $35 per person. To register, visit www.collincountybusinessalliance.com by Friday, June 19.
