All weekend 1. Theatre Frisco presents “Broadway Bound.” This comedy is the conclusion of Neil Simon’s semi-autobiographical Eugene trilogy. Eugene and his brother Stanley are trying to break into the world of professional comedy writing while coping with their parents’ split. When their material is broadcast on the radio for the first time, the rest of the family is upset to hear the comedic rendition of their own trials and tribulations. Tickets are $12 for student/active military, $18 for seniors/veterans and $20 for adults. Runners can sign up for a 5K race, a 1-mile fun run or the Piddy Pat 50-yard dash for children under 10. The event includes bounce houses, food trucks and music. Piddy Pat begins at 8 a.m., 1-mile fun run begins at 8:15 a.m. and the 5K begins at 8:45 a.m. Free (Piddy Pat), $20 (1-mile fun run) and $40 (5K). In partnership with KERA and Frisco Public Library, HBO and Sesame Workshop present the Sesame Street: K is for Kindness Tour. The tour is a free and inspired by the new 47th season of Sesame Street. The tour was created for preschoolers and their families, and features hands-on digital learning fun, meet and greets with costumed characters, a 15-minute interactive live stage show and more.
