The weekend events in Frisco range from performances to parades. Here are a few events to do this weekend with friends and family.

Nov. 11: High Order Solutions grand opening


High Order Solutions, an IT/IS and project management consulting firm that helps veterans receive civilian and government jobs, officially opens its doors on Veterans Day. The grand opening will be held at their new headquarters and will include a tour of the facility, presentations and meeting veterans. Food and drinks will be provided by The British Lion Pub and the Green Gator. This free event takes place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at 5566 Main St., Ste. 207.

Nov. 11, 12 and 13: The Last 5 years - A musical by Jason Roberty Brown


Frisco Community Theatre continues its musical this weekend. The musical explores the rise and fall of relationships and the games couples play. The play deals with adult themes and contains some adult language. It is not recommended for children. Tickets are $22 for seniors, $20 for veterans and $14 for students and active military. The show begins at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday. Performances will be held at the Black Box Theater, 8004 Dallas Parkway.


Nov. 12: Frisco Rotary Farmers Market


The Farmers Market is back again this weekend. Local growers and vendors offer fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as pasture fed beef, pork, lamb and eggs. Other food items include pasta, nuts and honey. The farmers market takes place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in historic downtown Frisco, 8821 4th St.

Nov. 12: Frisco Community Parade


The annual parade is a collaboration with the city of Frisco, Frisco ISD, Frisco Chamber of Commerce and the Frisco Veterans Advisory Committee. The parade includes Frisco fire and police vehicles, the Frisco fire clowns, the homecoming/forthcoming high school royalty, team mascots, representatives of Frisco’s professional sports teams and floats and marchers from various civic and youth groups. The parade begins at 10 a.m. at Toyota Stadium, 9200 World Cup Way.

Nov. 12: Frisco Book Fest


Book lovers will be able to visit with local authors and illustrators with featured presentations at the Frisco Public Library, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd. Authors and illustrators will speak about their process and their recent projects. The event will take place 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.
