Forest Park Medical Center and the Dallas Cowboys have entered into a partnership to raise awareness of widespread health risks and the ways injuries can be prevented or eliminated.

Forest Park, which is entering into its first sports marketing partnership, will gain marketing and promotional rights while the Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders, players and coaches will participate in Forest Park community health initiatives.

"Partnering with the Dallas Cowboys is a major milestone for our hospital system, which recently celebrated its five-year anniversary," said Dr. Robert Wyatt, Forest Park chief medical officer. "Our team of dedicated physicians and staff are committed to excellence in all they do from patient care to community involvement and activism. It is not hard to miss the parallel that Forest Park shares with the Dallas Cowboys when it comes to a commitment to excellence."

As part of the agreement, Forest Park will serve as a sponsor of Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader and Cowboys youth camps with the goal of educating youth about healthy eating, staying active, fitness and safety. Physicians and staff from the Frisco, Southlake and Dallas hospital locations will participate in the camps.

"The Dallas Cowboys are excited to enter into a new partnership with Forest Park Medical Center," said Jerry Jones Jr., Dallas Cowboys executive vice president/chief sales and marketing officer. "We look forward to using their expertise and resources to make a difference in the lives of the youth across Texas in the years to come."

The Dallas Cowboys are moving their headquarters to Frisco by late 2016 in conjunction with the publically funded multiuse event center, which the Cowboys will also use as a practice facility.
