Gander Mountain's Frisco location, 12277 Dallas Parkway, will remain open after the outdoor recreation retailer announced it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and would close 32 stores.

Of the closures, 10 are Texas locations: Houston, Killeen, Laredo, Lubbock, Round Rock, San Antonio, Sugar Land, Texarkana, Waco and West Houston. These locations are expected to close in the next several weeks, according to Gander Mountain.

An auction for the company's assets is expected in late April with a closing sale by May 15.

Gander Mountain opened the 60,000-square-foot Frisco store in late September in the Eldorado Marketplace on the northwest corner of Eldorado Parkway and the Dallas North Tollway. The store is the 22nd Gander Mountain in Texas and the fifth in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

Store services include an archery lane, hunting and fishing licenses, hunting safety classes, professional fishing line winding and a meeting space available for reservation.
