The Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission approved during its Feb. 26 meeting an amendment to an ordinance and rezoning of property within the Hollyhock community on US 380 for FISD schools.
According to city documents, the developer had sold tracts of land within the development to FISD for the future schools, and in 2015 the development was amended to reflect the sale of the land for the middle school. However, the current development plan still showed residential development on the property where the high school is proposed.
An amendment is required to make modifications to plans to more accurately reflect what will be constructed due to the property sold to FISD.
The amendment includes:
- Reduce the maximum number of patio home lots from 290 to 202;
- Increase the minimum number of single-family lots from 155 to 188;
- Reduce the maximum number of lots from 850 to 637; and
- Decrease the usable open space from 17.6 acres to 13.3 acres.
