According to unofficial results, Brian Livingston has won the runoff election for Frisco City Council Place 6. Livingston has 65 percent of the vote, or 2,433 votes. His opponent, Bobby Roberti, has 35 percent of the vote, or 1,317 votes.

The Place 6 seat is being vacated by Council Member Scott Johnson, who is term limited this year.

Livingston said he is honored to have the opportunity to serve on City Council.

"My initial plans are to learn and absorb it all," he said. "Mayor Jeff Cheney has already been wonderful to introduce me to people...I'm ready to come on board and start contributing."

In a statement, Roberti conceded to Livingston and said he is proud of his campaign.

"Scott Johnson leaves big shoes to fill, and I will definitely do whatever it takes to help Brian Livingston in his new role," Roberti said. "I will continue to look for opportunities to support Frisco and to bring my zoning, planning and finance background to the city's needs."

Livingston and his wife own Celebrity Café & Bakery and Texadelphia locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He has served on the Frisco Convention & Visitors Bureau board and is currently the vice chair for the board of adjustment/construction board of appeals.

Roberti is a financial advisor by trade and is the chairman of the Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission, which he has served on since 2012.
