A new proposed mixed-use development across from Frisco Square will be going before the Frisco Planning and Zoning Commission to approve zoning of the preliminary site plan.

The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 11 at City Council chambers, 6101 Frisco Square Blvd.

The development, called Frisco Fresh Market, is about 33 acres at the northeast corner of Frisco Street and Main Street. According to staff reports this new development will complement the historic downtown core to the east and Frisco Square to the south.

The project is envisioned to be an urban environment that will serve as a destination and entertainment area that will connect to Toyota Stadium, Frisco Square and the downtown core.

According to the site plan the project includes office space, retail, restaurants, a multi-family residence, a hotel, a tennis center and club.

“The plan for Frisco Fresh Market is to create a sustainable community that promotes a compact and efficient land-use pattern, which encourages pedestrian activity and open spaces for entertainment and relaxation,” the staff reports reads.
