Unofficial voting totals show Bob Allen will be re-elected to the Place 1 Frisco City Council seat with 2,733 votes, overcoming challenger Janet Evans Webb who had 855 votes.

"I'm excited," Allen said. "I appreciate those who supported me and I am excited about where we are going, although I wish the voter turnout had been a little higher."

Allen said he was also pleased to see all eight city bond proposition pass and also pleased with the turnout for the Frisco ISD board of trustees races.

Allen has spent a total of 11 years on Frisco City Council during his 23 years in Frisco. He also spent nine years on the Frisco Economic Development Corp. board and seven years on the Frisco Education Foundation. He currently works in information technology at Frisco ISD.

Webb is a nine-year Frisco resident and is seeking her first term on Frisco City Council. She is a former broadcast news executive with nearly 30 years of experience with stations including KLBJ Radio in Austin as a reporter and KRLD-AM in Dallas as news director.

Place 3

Will Sowell is running unopposed for the Place 3 Frisco City Council position. Sowell, a Frisco resident since 2000 and president and chief operating officer of financial services company Ingo Money, is seeking his second council term. He has been involved with many city programs including Leadership Frisco, Citizen’s Fire Academy, the Ethics Committee and the Charter Review Commission.
