Frisco Mayor Maher Maso announced he will seek re-election for a third term as mayor.

Maso has served on the council since 2000 and first elected mayor in 2008.

Andrea Wright has been appointed his campaign manager and Del Harris as campaign treasurer.

Maso's campaign term is hosting a free kick-off party from 7-9 p.m. Jan. 17 at The Westin Stonebriar in Frisco, 1549 Legacy Road. Refreshments and light snacks will be served.
