Saturday, Jan. 19

1. Poker tournament in Southlake
Area nonprofit Grapevine Relief and Community Exchange, or GRACE, is hosting its first annual poker tournament. Dinner and wine will be served, and those who buy into the tournament may bring one guest. The grand prize includes a two-night stay at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas. 2. Artists reception in Grapevine
Featured artists will be attending a reception at Giddens Gallery of Fine Art. Guests can visit and see the gallery while enjoying complimentary refreshments. 6-9 p.m. Free. Giddens Gallery of Fine Art, 624 S. Main St., Grapevine. 817-488-8600.

3. Job fair in Southlake
The city of Southlake is preparing to debut the Champions Club, its upcoming fitness and recreation center, and interested applicants can apply and interview for various positions that are still vacant. 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Free. The Marq Southlake, 285 Shady Oaks Drive, Southlake. 817-748-8955.

Sunday, Jan. 20

4. Cooking class in Southlake
Central Market Cooking School in Southlake will conduct a class on how to make cream scones. After participants have finished baking, they make enjoy the scones with cream and jam while sipping tea. Limited seating is available. Registration is done online, and the deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 19. Noon-1:30 p.m. $45 per person. Central Market in Southlake, 1425 E.
