Sept. 3
Labor Day holiday changes Southlake trash schedule

Trash and recycling collection services are suspended Sept. 3 for Southlake. Monday collections will be picked up on Tuesday, and Tuesday collections will be picked up on Wednesday. Grapevine and Colleyville’s services are unaffected by the holiday.

Run to Lend a Hand 5K to provide for children in need

The run features music, food trucks and a kids mile to benefit Kids Matter International’s programs that provide for children in need. 8 a.m. $15 (fun run), $25 (5K). Bicentennial Park, 450 W. Southlake Blvd., Southlake. 817-488-7679.

Italian CarFest to kick off GrapeFest

More than 90 vehicles are featured at the Italian CarFest 2018, a prelude to the 32nd Annual GrapeFest. Guests can also tour Nash Farm for free from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Free. Nash Farm, 626 Ball St., Grapevine. 817-410-3185.
